Clinical Hair Growth Laser

What is a Clinical Hair Growth Laser?

Widely recognized as the most effective non-surgical way to treat early onset hair loss, GetHairMD™’s Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments use a very specific laser light spectrum to stimulate hair growth, combat hair loss, and improve the overall volume and appearance of hair.

No need to mess around with unreliable, invasive, painful, time-consuming treatments any longer—along with an over-90% success rate since 2013, our Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments are FDA-Cleared to treat various types of hair loss in both men and women.

How effective is the Clinical Hair Growth Laser?

Since 2013, the Clinical Hair Growth Laser has had an over-90% success rate in helping patients stop their excessive shedding/thinning, and regrowing their hair. Check out our Results and Testimonial galleries below to learn more about actual client outcomes from our laser treatments.

Can Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments be combined with hair transplant treatments?

Combining Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments with post-transplant treatments has many proven benefits.

First, the scabbing time and wound healing is greatly accelerated.

Secondly, the transplanted follicles that would normally fall out due to post transplant shock stay in and remain active. It has been reported that nearly 75% of those follicles remain that would normally have fallen out. This produces a much better result for the patient.

Thirdly, it has been experienced that instead of waiting four months to see the new hair growth of transplanted follicles, the timeline is accelerated to seeing new growth in two months.

Lastly, the other non-transplanted hair gets thicker, healthier, producing an overall better appearance for the patient.

How does the Clinical Hair Growth Laser work?

At any given time, 30% of your hair is in a resting phase. GetHairMD™’s propriety “cool laser” technology is designed to increase microcirculation to the scalp, which in turn encourages increased cell growth and hair follicle activity.

This heightened blood flow promotes regrowth of recently lost or miniaturized hair, helps prevent further excessive hair shedding and thinning, and works to make your hair thicker, shinier, and healthier.

Being that the Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments harness your body’s natural processes to encourage hair growth, the results yielded from our Clinical Hair Growth Laser are long-lasting.

Unlike other hair loss products, procedures, or treatments that require constant commitment and buy-in to maintain results, your hair will be in the active growth phase for 2-5 years after following our FDA-cleared treatment regimen. In other words, Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments pay dividends even when your treatment plan comes to an end.

How quickly will I see results?

Clients experience 3 stages of results while undergoing Clinical Hair Growth Laser treatments.

You will move through these stages at your own pace, determined by how well their hair follicles respond:

  • Stage 1:  You will notice a decrease in excessive hair loss. Typically, around 4-6 weeks.

  • Stage 2: Their current hair becomes fuller, thicker, shinier, and healthier because the hair follicle is being maximized. This stage is typically between 6 weeks to 5 months.

  • Stage 3: The diminished or miniaturized hair regrows into normal, thick, terminal hair.  Typically, between the 3rd to 6th month there is a visual benefit that both the patient and their friends will see.

FUE Hair Transplant Procedures

What is an FUE Hair Transplant?

FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction.

It is an advanced, minimally invasive hair transplant method that allows for the harvesting of individual follicles from the back of the head (donor area) without a scalpel or stitches, and therefore leaves no linear scar.

What makes this treatment different from other hair transplants?

Traditional hair restoration procedures usually employ a technique known as the strip method, which involves surgically removing a strip from the patient’s scalp (the back of the head) to be used as the donor site. This can leave a linear scar.

FUE Transplant procedures, on the other hand, use a minimally invasive, automated handheld device to harvest individual hair follicles from areas that consist of terminal hair, which are naturally resistant to hair loss. It then implants those grafts at the site of hair loss, where, over time, they will regrow as healthy, fully functioning hair.

As a result, the procedure does not leave a linear scar, is more comfortable, and requires much less recovery time.

How long is the procedure? / How many sessions will I need to see results?

Depending on the number of grafts, the treatment can take anywhere from 4-10 hours.

The number of treatments will depend on your unique circumstance, but in many cases, just one procedure can be enough to attain desirable results.

Am I a good candidate for this treatment? / Will this treatment work for me?

While most people can get the treatment, there are some factors that come into play to determine if you’re an ideal candidate. Taken together, these include the number of grafts necessary to produce the desired results, the density and quality of the donor hair, hair texture, and the potential for future hair loss.

The GetHairMD™ team will be able to help to determine if you are a suitable candidate for this hair restoration procedure.

Are FUE Transplant procedures suitable for both men and women?

Yes. FUE Hair Transplant procedures are designed to deliver excellent results for both men and women.

Is the procedure painful?

Your physician will numb the area with a local anesthesia before beginning the procedure, so you will likely feel minimal discomfort while the hair transplant is being done. Some physicians also offer the option of mild sedation for the duration of the procedure, depending on your preference.

Once the numbing wears off and as the grafts heal, you may experience some tenderness around the donor site. This is a normal part of the healing process and should subside in a few days. Our GetHairMD™ team will provide you instructions and be available to answer any questions with regards to post-procedure care and pain management.

GetHairMD™ Laser Cap

What is the GetHairMD™ Laser Cap?

The GetHairMD™ Laser cap allows you to bring the power of FDA-cleared laser therapy anywhere you go.

Every GetHairMD™ Laser Cap is equipped with medical-grade lasers that work to increase microcirculation to the scalp, a key component to growing back strong, thick, and healthy hair.

The GetHairMD™ Laser Cap can work as a supplemental treatment to our other Hair Loss Solutions, or as a standalone treatment in situations where one is looking for a less intensive, preventative, or maintenance-oriented treatment plan.

How do you use the GetHairMD™ Laser Cap?

The GetHairMD™ team will determine at what frequency you should use the Laser Cap based on your treatment plan. Then, all you need to do is get the cap and wear it according to the instructions given by our team.

The GetHairMD™ Laser Cap is usually worn for about 30 minutes per session, three times a week. Each session mimics a Clinical Hair Growth Laser session similar to what you’d get at one of our locations. Most people see very visible results within 12 weeks of use.

At first, you will notice some shedding. This is normal, and is a sign that the GetHairMD™ Laser Cap is combing out the weak hair so that stronger, thicker hair can thrive and regrow. Once the shedding phase is over, you can expect the hair regrowth to begin.
